Springfield man arrested on warrant, held on bail

SPRINGFIELD — A local man was taken into custody by Springfield police after being stopped on VT RT 11 and found to have an active in-state arrest warrant.

Springfield Police Department officers, including Ofc.

Guzzo, Chief Burnham, and Cpl. Perkins, conducted the traffic stop around 2:46 p.m. on April 9.

Nicholas Ragucci, the driver of a silver Dodge Grand Caravan, was identified and detained after a patrol officer recognized him and his vehicle.

Ragucci’s warrant was confirmed by dispatch, and he was arrested at approximately 2:48 p.m. without incident.

He was then processed at the Springfield Police Department.

Following his arrest, Ragucci was issued a criminal citation to appear in the Vermont Superior Court, Criminal Division, Windsor Unit, on April 5 at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of $200.00 cash or surety bail, he was lodged at Southern State Correction Facility.
