DERBY — A 69-year-old Orleans man was arrested Wednesday evening on suspicion of driving under the influence and violating the conditions of his release.
Dexter Domina was stopped by troopers from the Derby Barracks after they observed him committing several motor vehicle infractions while patrolling US Route 5 in Barton at 7 p.m.
Domina, who was found to have a suspended license, appeared impaired and was taken into custody.
During the investigation, it was determined that Domina had active pretrial conditions of release that required him to abstain from alcohol use while driving.
Troopers confirmed Domina had alcohol in his system, breaching these conditions.
After being processed at the Derby Barracks, Domina was released with a citation to appear in court.
M&A Auto was called to assist at the scene.
