Man charged with cocaine possession, driving with suspended license in Middlebury

MIDDLEBURY — A Swanton man was arrested Thursday evening on charges of cocaine possession and operating a motorcycle with a suspended license, state police said.

Corey Mangan, 44, was pulled over on RT 7 at about 5:48 p.m. after troopers clocked him traveling at 74 mph in a 50 mph zone, according to the Vermont State Police – New Haven Barracks.

During the stop, it was determined that Mangan was driving with a criminally suspended license.

A subsequent search revealed that he was also in possession of cocaine.

Mangan was taken into custody and processed at the New Haven Barracks.

He is scheduled to appear in Addison County Superior Court on Dec. 30 at 12:30 p.m. to face the charges.
