Starksboro man arrested for second DUI

STARKSBORO — Vermont State Police arrested a local man on suspicion of driving under the influence on May 9 after a traffic stop on States Prison Hollow Road near the intersection with Vermont Route 116.

Travis B. Unger, 40, a resident of Starksboro, was pulled over at 5:47 p.m. for a motor vehicle violation.

During the stop, troopers noted signs of impairment and proceeded to detain Unger for DUI.

Following his arrest, Unger was taken to the New Haven State Police Barracks for processing.

He was later released with a citation to appear at the Addison County Superior Court, Criminal Division, on Nov. 18 at 12:30 p.m.

Additionally, Unger faces charges under 23 VSA 1222 for failing to have his vehicle inspected within 15 days of Vermont registration, which carries a fine of $105 and no points.
