SOUTH WINDSOR — A local man was arrested Thursday on charges stemming from a July domestic violence incident, during which he allegedly threatened to kill someone and violated a protective order.

Keith E. Huppe, 31, of South Windsor, is accused of illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, breach of peace in the second degree, violation of a protective order, and reckless endangerment in the second degree, according to the South Windsor Police Department.

Authorities say Huppe, who had an active arrest warrant, turned himself in at police headquarters around 10:45 a.m. on Sept. 5.

The charges relate to an incident in which Huppe reportedly held a knife with a blade larger than four inches close to the victim while inside a vehicle.

After processing, Huppe was released on a $50,000 surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court today at 9 a.m.
