Scituate man faces multiple fraud charges after troopers’ investigation

SCITUATE — Troopers arrested a 31-year-old Scituate man on Thursday morning, accusing him of engaging in a fraudulent scheme involving false pretenses and conspiracy to commit felony.

Victor Bulux was taken into custody at 10:40 a.m. and faces multiple charges, including obtaining property by false pretenses with a value over $10,000 for five counts, conspiracy to commit felony, and issuing fraudulent checks.

The authorities allege that Bulux wrote fraudulent checks in excess of $1,500 on six counts and fraudulent checks amounting to $10,000 on an additional five counts.

The arrest followed an extensive investigation by Scituate Barracks troopers into a series of fraudulent financial transactions.

The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be released as they become available.
