LYNDONVILLE — A Lyndon man was arrested early Wednesday morning on charges including DUI and drug possession after his vehicle lost control near a local resident’s home.
Justin Benton, 30, of Lyndon, was found by the Lyndonville Police Department in the Park & Ride off Gilman Road after receiving a complaint at around 9:15 a.m. According to the police report, Benton’s vehicle had spun out or lost control before stopping.
A patrol officer administered Narcan, a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose, successfully reviving Benton.
Following the incident, Benton was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
He was also found to be in possession of multiple controlled substances, including Xylazine, Fentanyl, and 4-ANPP.
The authorities obtained an evidentiary blood sample from Benton through a court order.
After processing, Benton was released to a sober party with a citation to appear in Caledonia Superior Court.
His arraignment is scheduled for Oct. 28 at 8:30 a.m.
