Boston police seek public’s help to identify suspect in Roxbury assault

BOSTON — Detectives assigned to District B-2 in Roxbury are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying an individual connected to an aggravated assault incident that occurred at 6:51 p.m. on August 28.

The Boston Police Department released an image of the suspect, described as a black male in his 30s, last seen wearing a blue shirt, blue pants, a black hat, and carrying a green backpack.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances of the assault and urge anyone with information to contact the District B-2 Detectives at (617) 343-4275.

To provide tips anonymously, community members can call the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS or send the word ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463).

The identities of individuals providing anonymous tips will be protected, as the Boston Police Department commits to maintaining confidentiality.
