Suspect arrested in Randolph drug bust

RANDOLPH — Police arrested a 21-year-old man and seized over 250 grams of fentanyl during a drug raid in Randolph on Wednesday.

Angel Velez-Grullat of Randolph was taken into custody around 10:20 a.m. on Sept. 4, 2024, following an ongoing investigation by drug control units from Boston Police Districts E-5 and D-4, along with the Randolph Police Drug Unit.

Officers executed search warrants at 159 Bittersweet Lane in Randolph, where they recovered approximately 256 grams of fentanyl, 21 grams of cocaine and $2,547 in cash.

Velez-Grullat faces charges of trafficking Class A and Class B substances.

He is scheduled for arraignment in Quincy District Court.

The arrest comes as part of ongoing efforts by local law enforcement to combat drug trafficking in the greater Boston area.
