Man arrested for domestic assault of vulnerable adult in Lyndonville

LYNDONVILLE — A 28-year-old Lyndon man was arrested Wednesday night on charges of aggravated domestic assault and abuse of a vulnerable adult, police said.

Branden Daigle was taken into custody at 10:47 p.m. after officers responded to a reported disturbance at a residence on High Street, according to the Lyndonville Police Department.

Authorities said Daigle is accused of assaulting a family or household member who is classified as a vulnerable adult.

He faces additional charges of reckless endangerment.

Daigle is being held without bail at the Northeast Regional Correctional Facility.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at 12:30 p.m. in Caledonia Superior Court.

The arrest stemmed from a complaint by a concerned citizen, police said.

Lyndonville officers responded to the scene alongside Vermont State Police troopers.

No further details about the incident were immediately available.

The investigation is ongoing.
