Lyndonville man arrested on outstanding warrant

LYNDONVILLE — A Burke man was arrested Wednesday afternoon on an outstanding warrant for probation violation, according to Lyndonville police.

Dominic Bassett, 27, was taken into custody around 5:05 p.m. Sept. 4 after a patrol officer spotted him driving on Broad Street near the 724 address.

Police said Bassett was wanted by the Vermont Department of Corrections for violating probation related to previous convictions for five counts of burglary and unlawful trespass of an occupied dwelling.

Bassett was transported to Northeast Regional Correctional Facility and held on $1,000 cash or surety bond.
