Nathaniel A. Concepcion, 27, was arrested around 3:35 p.m. on North Street after police say he refused to exit his vehicle during a stop for a moving violation.

Officers discovered Concepcion’s license was suspended and attempted to place him under arrest.

A struggle ensued, during which an officer sustained minor injuries, according to police.

After subduing Concepcion, police searched his vehicle and reportedly found a loaded firearm, ammunition, approximately 27 grams of suspected crack cocaine and cocaine packaged for distribution, and a digital scale.

Concepcion, of 100 Bemis Road, Apt. 10, Fitchburg, was charged with multiple offenses including possession of a loaded firearm without a license, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, trafficking cocaine over 18 grams, assault and battery on a police officer, and operating a vehicle with a suspended license.

He is being held on $20,000 cash bail pending arraignment in Dudley District Court.
