MANCHESTER BY THE SEA — Police are asking for public assistance in locating a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run that left a dog dead last night.
Residents in the Ocean St and Summer St areas are urged to review their camera footage for any sightings of an older white Ford or Mercury station wagon.
The incident occurred between 8:10 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Any relevant footage or information should be reported to the Manchester by the Sea Police Department.
Authorities are hoping that resident-owned surveillance cameras will help identify the vehicle responsible for the hit-and-run.
The community’s help is key in holding the responsible party accountable for this incident.
