CONCORD — A local man was taken into custody for alleged indecent exposure at a TJ Maxx store mere hours after being convicted of a similar offense, according to Concord police.

Matayo Riley, 27, faced charges in Concord District Court related to a May incident where he reportedly exposed himself to a minor at a Walmart.

On the same day as his conviction, police received a call about a man exhibiting the same lewd behavior at the TJ Maxx in Concord.

Investigators identified Riley as the suspect.

Further investigation linked Riley to an additional incident on Aug. 28 involving the exposure of his genitals to two girls under 16 at a Concord Target.

On Sept. 3, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Riley stemming from the Target and TJ Maxx incidents.

Later that day, Riley was apprehended and charged with subsequent offense felony indecent exposure/lewdness for the TJ Maxx case, and two counts of indecent exposure/lewdness involving a child under 16 for the Target case.

Following his arrest, Riley was processed at the Concord Police Department.

Refusing the services of a bail commissioner, he was then taken to the Merrimack County House of Corrections.

Riley’s arraignment took place on Sept. 4 in Concord District Court.
