HIGHGATE — A local man was arrested and charged with domestic assault following an incident at a Highgate residence, Vermont State Police reported.
On Feb. 9 at 4:59 p.m., authorities responded to a call regarding an alleged assault at 768 VT RT 78.
The investigation determined that Thomas Tatro, 61, had physically assaulted a 67-year-old member of his household.
Tatro then left the scene before law enforcement arrived.
Police located Tatro the next day and issued a citation for him to appear in Franklin County Superior Court to face charges related to the assault.
The name of the victim has not been released to protect their privacy.
