Boston police arrest suspect from BPD Most Wanted List

BOSTON — Members of the Boston Police Department’s Fugitive Unit, along with officers from District D-4 (South End), arrested 46-year-old Geetha Rathnamala, a suspect on the BPD’s Most Wanted List, in the area of 71 Newbury Street at about 2:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 3.

Rathnamala, a Boston resident, was apprehended pursuant to an outstanding Full Extradition warrant issued by New York City, where she is wanted for Felony Assault Two.

Following her arrest, she will also face charges as a Fugitive from Justice.

The suspect had been recently featured on the BPD Most Wanted List and is slated to appear in Boston Municipal Court for her arraignment.
