BOSTON — Boston Police officers arrested a 19-year-old Dorchester resident after recovering a loaded firearm and drugs in the neighborhood on the evening of Sept. 3.

At about 7:51 p.m., officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a report of a large group causing a disturbance near 95 Fowler Street.

As officers approached, they observed two groups; one consuming alcohol on the sidewalk and another sitting by a park bench.

The smaller group near the bench dispersed upon noticing the police presence, leaving behind a backpack under the bench.

A pat frisk of the backpack led to the discovery of a Glock 43 with a laser sight attachment, nine rounds in the magazine, four plastic bags of marijuana, two scales, and $320 in U.S. currency.

An RMV letter with the suspect’s name was also found inside the backpack, aiding in identifying the individual.

Anthony Cooper-Hall was detained by officers and subsequently arrested on multiple charges, including Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Unlawful Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D.

Cooper-Hall is set to face these charges at his arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
