DAYTON — A woman found deceased in a vehicle on Monday has been tentatively identified as Autumn Cleveland, a 23-year-old who was reported missing from Newport News, Virginia.
Maine State Police received a 911 call at approximately 3:27 p.m. reporting the body inside a vehicle parked near Goodwins Mills Road.
The description of the deceased woman matched that of Cleveland.
Responding to the scene, the State Police Major Crimes Unit South began an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death.
Authorities have assured the community that there is no danger to the public at this time.
The death remains under investigation, and an autopsy is scheduled to be conducted to determine the cause and manner of death.
