Bellingham cyclist seriously injured in collision with vehicle

BELLINGHAM — A 46-year-old male cyclist was seriously injured Tuesday after being struck by a vehicle on South Main Street.

Bellingham Police Department received several 911 calls at about 5:03 p.m. reporting the crash near 829 South Main Street.

Police and Fire Departments responded promptly to the incident.

The Bellingham man sustained severe injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Authorities confirmed that the vehicle involved was still at the scene when officers arrived, and the driver is cooperating with the ongoing investigation.

The accident is currently being investigated by the Bellingham Police Department, with support from the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council (CEMLEC) Crash Reconstruction Team.

At present, no charges have been filed in connection with the crash.
