Armed robbery in Windsor Locks leads to arrests, pellet gun seizure

WINDSOR LOCKS — Police have arrested two suspects following an armed robbery at the Bradley Inn on Ella Grasso Turnpike, where a victim was threatened with guns and a machete on Aug. 31.

The victim, an adult male, reported the incident to authorities after being robbed in the hotel’s hallway.

The Windsor Locks Police Department responded to the emergency call and located the suspects in room 114 of the Bradley Inn.

Upon detaining the five individuals found in the room, officers discovered a machete near the doorway.

After one of the suspects was removed from the scene, consent was given to search for firearms, leading to the discovery of a pellet gun hidden in the suspended ceiling.

The gun, designed to closely resemble a real handgun, was seized by the officers.

Two of the individuals, Alicia Morgan and Ricardo Barker, were identified by the victim as the perpetrators who took cash, an Apple watch, a vape, and conducted a $100 transaction via CashApp.

Morgan and Barker are now facing charges including Robbery 1st, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery 1st, Larceny 2nd, and Carrying a Dangerous Weapon.

Both suspects are being held on $500,000 bond each.

The incident has prompted a warning from authorities about the risks posed by facsimile guns, which can be mistaken for real firearms, especially under stressful conditions with varying lighting.

The police urge the community to exercise caution when using such items for recreational activities like airsoft.

No injuries were reported during the incident.
