Single-vehicle crash on I-91 in Bradford

BRADFORD — A Royalton man escaped injury after his vehicle struck a guardrail on Interstate 91 South following a tire blowout Saturday afternoon.

David Hook, 36, was driving southbound in a 2004 Volvo V70 near mile marker 99.9 when his tire failed at approximately 4:53 p.m., causing him to veer off the road and collide with the guardrail on the east side, according to Vermont State Police.

Troopers from the St. Johnsbury Barracks responded to the scene.

The Bradford Fire Department and Upper Valley Ambulance also assisted at the crash site.

Hook was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the incident.

His vehicle sustained moderate damage to the front driver’s side.
