Heroin trafficking arrest in Milo leads to two in custody

MILO — A traffic stop in Milo on Aug. 31, 2024, resulted in the arrest of two individuals on drug-related charges, according to the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputy Michael Pina pulled over a vehicle, leading to the arrest of Casey Chase, 42, of Dover-Foxcroft.

Chase was charged with trafficking in a schedule drug after authorities discovered heroin, packaging materials, scales and $1,300 in suspected drug proceeds in her possession.

Officials noted that Chase is currently on probation for a previous drug violation conviction.

The passenger, Larry Morgan, 48, of Sherman, was also taken into custody on an outstanding warrant.

Both Chase and Morgan were transported to the Piscataquis County Jail following their arrests.

The sheriff’s office did not provide additional details about the circumstances leading to the traffic stop or the ongoing investigation.
