HARTLAND — Vermont State Police arrested a 30-year-old man Sunday on domestic assault charges after responding to a reported incident at a residence.
Kyle Sykes of Hartland was taken into custody after allegedly causing pain to two family members, according to police.
Troopers responded to the scene at 9:48 p.m. on Vermont Route 5.
Authorities said Sykes initially fled but was later located at his home.
He was transported to the Hartford Police Department for processing.
Sykes was lodged at Southern State Correctional Facility and issued court-ordered conditions.
He is scheduled to appear in Windsor County Superior Court Criminal Division at 12:30 p.m. on Sept. 3 to face charges.
The names of the victims were not released, as is standard practice for the Vermont State Police in domestic violence cases.
