LINCOLN — A motor vehicle crash early Monday morning led to the arrest of a Pawtucket woman on charges of driving under the influence and refusal to submit to a chemical test, state police said.

Charis Mitchell, 27, of 18 Alice Street, was taken into custody at 3:01 a.m. after troopers responded to an accident on Route 99 North and found her walking along the road.

Following the incident, Mitchell was transported to State Police Headquarters for processing.

She was later arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released to a responsible adult.

This marks the first offense for Mitchell regarding driving under the influence, with her blood alcohol content at the time of the arrest remaining unknown due to her refusal to submit to testing.
