SPRINGFIELD — A local man was arrested in connection with a domestic assault and violating conditions of release, according to police.
Ethan Willey was taken into custody on Elm Hill at 4:39 p.m. on Aug. 15, after officers responded to an incident earlier in the month.
Springfield Police Department officers had been dispatched to a residence on Giddings Street for a reported domestic disturbance around 9:50 p.m. on Aug. 7.
Ofc. Singleton, Ofc. Freeman, and Lt. Deslauriers conducted an investigation that led to the identification of Willey as the suspect who allegedly assaulted an individual and then fled the scene.
Willey was not found that night.
Lt. Deslauriers later located Willey while attending to a separate incident.
Willey was arrested without further incident and processed at the Springfield Police Department.
He received a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County Criminal Court on Aug. 19, facing charges of 2nd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault and Violation of Conditions of Release.
Following the arrest, Willey was held without bail at the Southern State Correctional Facility.
