Man charged with DUI after crashing into parked cars in Bethel

BETHEL — A Brattleboro man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence after crashing into two parked vehicles on South Main Street early Sunday morning.

Vermont State Police from the Royalton Barracks responded to a report of a multiple vehicle crash at 420 South Main Street at 12:37 a.m. Upon arrival, troopers made contact with the driver, identified as 32-year-old Jordan Cottrell.

According to the authorities, Cottrell showed signs of impairment and an investigation confirmed he was operating the vehicle under the influence of intoxicants.

Cottrell was taken into custody and transported to the Hartford Police Department for processing.

Following the processing, Cottrell was released with a citation to appear before the Windsor County Superior Court – Criminal Division on Sept. 17 at 8 a.m.
