Boston police arrest six in drug bust; seize guns, drugs, cash

BOSTON — Six individuals were arrested on Saturday morning in a coordinated drug bust by the Boston Police Department’s Drug Control Units in South Boston, leading to the seizure of firearms, drugs, and thousands of dollars in cash.

At about 7:19 a.m., officers from District C-6 (South Boston), A-1 (Downtown), B-2 (Roxbury), and E-5 (Roslindale/West Roxbury) apprehended suspects from various neighborhoods including Roslindale, Revere, South Boston, Quincy, and Boston, in connection with firearm and drug charges, as well as active warrants.

The arrests followed a long-term investigation responding to community complaints of illegal drug activity, culminating in search warrants being executed at 22 Logan Way and 391 Old Colony Avenue.

The search at 22 Logan Way yielded a Sig Sauer firearm, 18 grams of crack cocaine, 20 grams of methamphetamine, pills, $1,225 in cash, packaging materials, and digital scales.

Another Taurus firearm with ammunition and approximately $8,375 in cash were recovered from the Old Colony Avenue location.

The suspects, identified as Larriston Lake, Danielle Fougere, Phillip Renaud, Francis Kenney, John Randall, and Kieran McGourty, face a variety of charges including unlawful possession of firearms, possession with intent to distribute controlled substances, and for one, being an armed career criminal.

A seventh individual has been summoned to court on charges of possession of Class B drugs.

Lake faces the most serious charges, including the unlawful possession of a firearm and ammunition, improper storage of a firearm, and multiple drug distribution offenses.

Fougere and the others face charges ranging from conspiracy to drug distribution.

All suspects are scheduled to be arraigned at South Boston District Court.
