WATERBURY — A man was arrested on an active warrant Friday afternoon after state troopers responded to a call regarding a disabled vehicle on Interstate 89 South near Exit 10.
Jesse Shaw, 29, of Barre, was taken into custody at approximately 2:58 p.m. following a brief search when he and other occupants fled on foot from the stolen vehicle, which had been reported out of Burlington.
The Vermont State Police located Shaw, who was wanted for felony burglary, and he was apprehended without incident.
Shaw was then transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility in St. Albans and lodged on a $1,000 bail per court orders.
Shaw is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 3 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges, including burglary into an occupied dwelling.
