Rhode Island State Police make multiple arrests for various offenses

PROVIDENCE — Rhode Island State Police have reported a series of arrests following traffic stops and investigations in Providence and surrounding areas.

Early Tuesday, Troopers arrested Zobrayah Peterson, 26, of Providence, on a warrant for failing to stop after an accident.

Peterson was detained at the Rhode Island Traffic Tribunal and later taken to court for arraignment.

Later in the day, at 1:40 p.m., Nancy Bolarinho, 46, also from Providence, was arrested on charges of forgery, counterfeiting, and larceny following a traffic stop on Route 95.

Bolarinho was handed over to the Lincoln Police Department after processing.

Within minutes at 1:45 p.m., Benjamin Fry, 44, from Providence, was arrested for larceny based on a North Providence Police Department warrant after being pulled over on Route 146 North.

Fry was subsequently turned over to North Providence Police.

Tuesday evening at 9:12 p.m., Ezell Patterson, 31, from Altamonte Springs, Florida, faced multiple charges, including obstructing a police officer and resisting arrest, after a motor vehicle stop led to a foot chase in Pawtucket.

Patterson, who was also a fugitive from justice in Florida, was held at the Adult Correctional Institution – Men’s Intake Center.

Early Wednesday, at 1:26 a.m., Michael Violette, 31, of West Warwick, was arrested for reckless driving and resisting arrest on Route 95 South.

Violette was released with a future court date after being arraigned.

Shortly after, at 2:00 a.m., Elido Salcedo-Villar, 48, from Cranston, was charged with DUI and refusing a chemical test following a stop on Route 146.

Salcedo-Villar was released into the custody of an adult after arraignment.

Finally, at 2:31 a.m., Braulio Castillo, 25, of Boston, was taken into custody for reckless driving on Route 95 South.

Castillo was processed and released with a scheduled court date.
