Man arrested for cocaine possession in St. Johnsbury

ST. JOHNSBURY — On Aug. 30, Vermont State Police troopers arrested a 26-year-old man for possession of cocaine.

During a routine patrol around 1:35 a.m. near the intersection of Railroad Street and Portland Street, troopers observed a group of individuals engaging in suspicious activity.

Upon approaching the group, troopers encountered Devin Campbell-Reid attempting to hide items on his person.

Further investigation by the troopers led to the discovery of what is believed to be crack cocaine in Campbell-Reid’s possession.

Campbell-Reid also appeared to be under the influence of intoxicants at the time of the encounter.

Following his arrest, Campbell-Reid was transported to the St. Johnsbury Barracks for processing.

He has been cited to appear in Caledonia County Superior Court on Sept. 30 at 8:30 a.m. to face charges related to the possession of cocaine.
