Holden man surrenders to police, faces multiple charges including domestic violence

HOLDEN — A Holden man, Andrew Kenney, turned himself in to police early this morning after being sought on multiple charges, according to the Holden Police Department.

Kenney, 34, was wanted for domestic violence criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, criminal restraint, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Police had previously issued a warrant for his arrest and had warned the public that he was considered armed and dangerous, advising not to approach him.

Authorities had been searching for Kenney, who had not appeared at his place of work this week but was believed to still be in the Bangor area.

He was operating a black 2023 GMC Sierra pickup truck with Maine license plate 509BHW.

The Holden Police Department expressed gratitude to the community for their assistance in the case and stated that Kenney surrendered himself without incident earlier today.

As the case moves forward, Kenney is expected to face the charges outlined in the arrest warrant.

The Holden Police Department has not released further details about the circumstances leading to Kenney’s surrender or any additional information about the case at this time.
