HENNIKER — A routine patrol turned into a drug bust early Saturday morning when Officer Christian Kyle of the Henniker Police Department noticed a vehicle parked at the storage units on Old Concord Road.
At 12:06 a.m., while patrolling the area, Officer Kyle observed the vehicle at 804 Old Concord Road.
As he pulled into the parking lot, the driver began to wave their hands erratically.
Upon speaking with the driver, Kyle noticed the individual continued to make irregular movements with their body and hands, prompting a DWI investigation.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of DWI, and during the investigation, Officer Cole Bannister observed drug-related items inside the vehicle, leading to a call for backup.
Hillsboro’s K-9 Sgt. Nick Hodgen and K-9 Voight responded to the scene.
The police dog alerted on the vehicle, which was then seized pending a search warrant.
The search warrant, once granted, allowed officers to uncover numerous drug-related items.
Baggies of pills, along with powder and crystal-like substances were found.
The substances are believed to be Adderall, Methamphetamine, and Fentanyl.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending following the results of the seizure.
