Danville farm stand theft under investigation

DANVILLE — The Vermont State Police are investigating a petit larceny incident that occurred at the McDonald Farm Stand on US-2 East.

At around 5:52 p.m. on Aug. 30, authorities were alerted to a theft that had taken place the previous night.

According to the farm stand’s owners, an unknown individual was recorded by surveillance cameras as they entered the premises, took the cashbox, and promptly left the scene at approximately 10:57 p.m. on Aug. 29.

The suspect was captured on camera wearing a dark-colored, graphic hooded sweatshirt.

The footage shows the individual stealing the cashbox, which contained an undisclosed amount of cash and coins.

State troopers have secured the video evidence and are currently seeking assistance from the public to identify the suspect.
