Waterford police seek help identifying credit card theft suspects

WATERFORD — Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying two individuals suspected of stealing credit cards and making fraudulent purchases in eastern Connecticut.

On Aug. 13, 2024, two suspects allegedly stole five credit and debit cards from an unlocked vehicle parked at Great Neck Country Club, according to the Waterford Police Department.

The suspects then used the stolen cards to make unauthorized purchases at Walmart in Groton and Target in Lisbon, police said.

Authorities are asking anyone with information about the suspects’ identities to contact Officer McComic at 860-442-9451 ext. 2333 or email [email protected].

Tips can also be submitted via private message to the police department’s social media accounts.

The investigation is ongoing.
