WARE — A 51-year-old Ware man was arrested Thursday on multiple charges including child rape and human trafficking, police said.
Angel L. Ramos faces five counts of aggravated rape of a child with a 10-year age difference, eight counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and one count each of trafficking a person under 18 for sexual servitude and posing a child in a state of nudity, according to the Ware Police Department.
Ramos is also charged with two counts of witness intimidation.
Detective Ryan Downing began investigating Ramos in early August, leading to his arrest on Aug. 29.
Ramos is being held on $1 million bail and is scheduled for arraignment Friday at 8:30 a.m. in Eastern Hampshire District Court in Belchertown.
The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit assigned to the Northampton District Attorney’s Office assisted in the investigation.
