WARDSBORO — A Jamaica, Vermont, man faces charges of driving under the influence and eluding law enforcement after a traffic stop in Wardsboro.
Brandon J. Campbell, 23, was arrested on Aug. 29 at approximately 10:28 p.m. after a Windham County Sheriff’s deputy observed him running a stop sign and speeding away, according to authorities.
The deputy, who was on patrol for the town of Wardsboro, pursued Campbell’s vehicle along Route 100 North.
Campbell eventually stopped on a logging road near Pike Farm Road.
Upon investigation, Campbell was found to be impaired by alcohol and deemed unsafe to operate a motor vehicle, the sheriff’s office reported.
Campbell was processed and released with a criminal citation.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 17.
The incident remains under investigation by Deputy David S. Gaillardetz of the Windham County Sheriff’s Office.
