Sudbury man arrested for child-related offenses

HARVARD — The Harvard Police Department has announced the arrest of a Sudbury man following a yearlong investigation into crimes against a child.

Steven Lipscomb was taken into custody on Aug. 27 after Harvard and Sudbury police officers executed an arrest warrant issued by the Clinton District Court.

Lipscomb was arraigned the following day, Aug. 28, on charges of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 and dissemination of obscene matter to a minor.

Chief James Babu praised the dedication of the officers and detectives involved in the investigation, and acknowledged the Sudbury Police Department for their assistance.

The Harvard Police Department emphasized its commitment to safeguarding the community’s children and ensuring justice for victims of such crimes.
