STAMFORD — Following an extensive five-week investigation by the Stamford Police Department’s Narcotics and Organized Crime Squad, Miguel “Cuba” Rodriguez-Veloz was apprehended on Tuesday, marking a significant development in the department’s ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the area.

Rodriguez-Veloz, a Main Street resident, was taken into custody around 2:30 p.m. after he left an apartment in the 90 block of Liberty Street.

At the time of his arrest, he was found in possession of 1.2 grams of powder cocaine, 2.9 grams of crack cocaine, 4 grams of fentanyl, and $10 in cash.

Authorities executed a search warrant at the Liberty Street apartment, which they had identified as a “stash pad” used by Rodriguez-Veloz.

The search yielded 112 grams of cocaine, approximately 8 kilograms (7,962 grams) of fentanyl, $2,575 in cash, and several items used for drug packaging and distribution, including scales.
