South Windsor man arrested for domestic violence, interfering with emergency call

SOUTH WINDSOR — A South Windsor man was arrested Wednesday after he allegedly assaulted a victim during a domestic incident and attempted to prevent her from calling 9-1-1, police said.

Walberto Zombrano-Gonzales, 46, of Hartford, was charged with breach of peace in the second degree and interfering with an emergency call following the altercation that occurred at 1:19 p.m., according to the South Windsor Police Department.

Authorities report that Zombrano-Gonzales punched the victim in the stomach and face.

When the victim attempted to contact emergency services, Zombrano-Gonzales allegedly tried to take the phone away.

After being taken into custody and processed, Zombrano-Gonzales was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court today at 9 a.m.
