CARIBOU — A silver alert has been issued for 74-year-old Duane Doherty of Virginia, who may have traveled north to the Caribou area, according to the Caribou Police Department.
Doherty, who has ties to this region, is believed to be operating a red Toyota RAV4 with a disabled license plate marked 3042ZF.
The Caribou Police Department is asking anyone with information on Doherty’s whereabouts to contact them at 207-493-3302.
The silver alert was activated as concerns grow for Doherty’s safety and well-being.
Authorities are urging the public to be on the lookout for the specified vehicle and to report any sightings immediately.
The Caribou Police Department did not release further details on the circumstances of Doherty’s disappearance.
