North Troy couple arrested for burglary of elderly resident’s home

NORTH TROY — Vermont State Police arrested a North Troy couple on Monday morning for allegedly breaking into the home of a 93-year-old resident.

At approximately 10:55 a.m., troopers responded to a reported burglary on Vermont Route 243 in North Troy. Upon arrival, they found Danielle Lemieux, 32, and Michael Lemieux, 31, inside the residence.

Investigation revealed the couple had allegedly forced entry into the home of Jeannette Ianni, 93, without permission.

The Lemieuxs were arrested and taken to the Derby Barracks for processing.

They were subsequently released with citations to appear in court on charges of burglary.
