SCITUATE — At 2:50 p.m., Rhode Island State Troopers arrested Jack Noonan, age 23, of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, on an active warrant for charges including failure to stop for an accident resulting in damage to an attended vehicle and obstructing an officer in execution of duty, authorities said.

The arrest stemmed from a Scituate Barracks investigation after an incident where Noonan allegedly left the scene of a crash and later interfered with police duties.

According to officials, Noonan turned himself in at the barracks.

Noonan was processed and arraigned, then released by a Justice of the Peace with a future court date set to address the charges.

Captain David Bassignani, District “A” Commander for the Rhode Island State Police, provided this information and is the point of contact for further inquiries.
