East Hampton police report multiple arrests, traffic incidents over two-week period

EAST HAMPTON — Over a span of two weeks, the East Hampton Police Department reported a series of traffic-related arrests and incidents, including charges for driving under the influence and drug possession, according to a recent press release.

On Aug. 13, Ronald Way, 56, was arrested for driving under the influence, misuse of plates, and operating an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle.

Way was released on a $1,500 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Middletown Superior Court on Aug. 21 at 9 a.m.

The following day, on Aug. 14, Janiyah Miller, 20, was ticketed for failing to stop at a stop sign.

That same day, Gary Termini, 60, was arrested for possession of heroin.

Termini is set to appear in court on Aug. 27.

On Aug. 18, Dino Cencunjanin, 18, received a ticket for passing in a no-passing zone, and on Aug. 19, Robert Saltus, 42, was summoned for reckless driving.

Saltus has a court date set for Aug. 28 at 9 a.m.

A car versus road sign accident on Aug. 22 that resulted in the driver fleeing the scene ended with Diane Leiner, 58, being issued a summons for evading responsibility and failure to drive right.

Leiner is also due in court on Aug. 28 at 9 a.m.

Additional tickets were issued on Aug. 22 and Aug. 23 for traffic violations, including failure to obey an officer’s signal and unsafe passing.

On Aug. 24, Tucker Minor, 26, was arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving, and failure to drive right after a one-car accident with non-life-threatening injuries.

Minor was released on a $2,500 non-surety bond and is due in court on Sept. 4 at 9 a.m.

On Aug. 25, two separate tickets were issued: one to Anthony Degennaro, 32, for speeding and operating without a license, and another to Robert Baran Jr., 60, for taking a motor vehicle without permission.

Baran is scheduled for a court appearance on Sept. 3 at 9 a.m.

Between Aug. 12 and Aug. 25, East Hampton Police responded to 23 medical calls, six motor vehicle accidents, 25 alarms, and made 19 traffic stops.
