3 charged charged in separate incidents by Rhode Island State Police

CRANSTON — Members of the ACI Investigations Unit brought charges against three individuals on Aug. 26 in unrelated cases involving assault, contraband, and domestic violence violations.

Shaylyn Moran, 23, of Cranston, faces charges of assault with bodily fluids while incarcerated and simple assault/battery.

After her arraignment in the Third District Court, Moran was released to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.

In a separate incident, Megan Boucher, 38, with a last known address in Chepachet, was charged with conveyance of unauthorized articles to/from an institution and possession of a controlled substance schedule I-V, less than 10 grams.

Boucher also appeared in the Third District Court and was released to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.

Additionally, Luis Rivas-Melendez, 30, from Woonsocket, was charged with a domestic violence violation of a no contact order.

Following his arraignment in the Third District Court, Rivas-Melendez was handed over to the custody of the Sheriffs Department.
