Woman arrested in Roxbury stabbing case

BOSTON — Boston Police have arrested a woman in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in Roxbury, officials said Sunday.

At about 8:40 a.m., on Aug. 24, officers from District E-13 (Jamaica Plain) apprehended 32-year-old Shalia Brown of Boston following an overnight stabbing.

Detectives had circulated a photo of the suspect among patrol officers, leading to Brown’s identification and arrest near 1965 Columbus Avenue.

Brown faces charges of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon and is slated for arraignment in Roxbury District Court.

The initial incident took place close to 2041 Columbus Avenue, where police, responding to reports of a stabbing, found two victims.

One was rushed to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, while the other was treated at the scene.

The circumstances leading to the stabbing are still under investigation.
