STAMFORD — A woman was charged with manslaughter after allegedly providing fentanyl-laced pills that led to the death of a 34-year-old Stamford resident, according to police.

On April 5, officers responded to an emergency call at a Victory Street apartment and found a woman unresponsive.

The victim, a Stamford resident, was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency services.

Her juvenile children discovered her in a bedroom chair.

During the investigation, detectives identified evidence of drug use and later confirmed the presence of fentanyl disguised as Percocet pills.

Ikea Grace, 31, from Waterbury, was in the apartment at the time of the incident.

She admitted to supplying the pills and met the victim through a dating app.

Detective Marco Califano, after forensic analysis, obtained an arrest warrant for Grace.

She was arrested in Milford following a License Plate Reader alert and charged with second-degree manslaughter.

Grace is being held on a $200,000 bond.

The Stamford Police Department acknowledged the Milford Police Department’s aid and praised Detective Califano’s efforts in resolving the case.
