BOSTON — Detectives from the Boston Police Homicide Unit and District C-11 arrested a suspect in connection with a fatal stabbing on Dorchester Avenue, authorities announced Saturday.
David Adams, 38, of Dorchester, was charged with murder after being apprehended by police on Saturday, August 24.
The arrest followed an intense investigation into a stabbing that occurred the previous night.
While canvassing the Dorchester Avenue area for video evidence, detectives identified an individual matching the suspect’s description.
Further inquiries confirmed Adams as the perpetrator of the stabbing.
The initial incident took place at approximately 9:59 p.m. on Friday, August 23, when officers from District C-11 responded to reports of a stabbing at 1879 Dorchester Ave.
Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim with multiple stab wounds.
The victim was quickly transported to a local hospital by Boston EMS but was later pronounced dead.
Following his arrest, Adams was taken to District C-11 for booking and is expected to face arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
