ARLINGTON — Vermont State Police cited a Pownal woman for negligent operation following a motor vehicle complaint on Aug. 24.
Authorities were alerted at 6:57 p.m. to an erratic driver on Vermont Route 7A in Arlington.
The complainant reported that a vehicle driven by Michelle Johnson, 39, crossed the double yellow line multiple times and nearly caused several crashes.
The complainant also claimed to have been run off the road by Johnson’s vehicle before following it back to its Manchester residence.
Troopers investigated the incident and subsequently identified Johnson as the operator of the vehicle.
She was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on Oct. 28 at 8:15 a.m. to respond to the charge.
