SHARON — A 39-year-old Royalton woman was arrested on multiple charges, including being a fugitive from justice, after deputies responded to a disturbance at a local convenience store on Aug. 23.
Windsor County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies arrived at the Maplefields convenience store around 3:36 p.m. following a report of a person causing a disturbance.
Upon making contact with Annette Ruotolo, deputies discovered she provided a false name.
Investigations led to probable cause for Ruotolo’s arrest on charges of providing false information to law enforcement, retail theft, and possession of methamphetamine.
Additionally, Ruotolo was wanted as a fugitive from justice due to an outstanding probation violation in New Hampshire where the underlying charge was a felon in possession of a firearm.
Ruotolo was taken into custody and lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility on $5,000 bail.
She is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 26 at 12:30 p.m.
