CLIFTON — A serious motor vehicle crash late Friday night left two people with severe injuries after an SUV rolled over multiple times on Rebel Hill Road.
According to the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, at around 11:10 p.m., the Penobscot Regional Communications Center was alerted to the crash on Route 180.
Deputies, along with the Eddington Fire Department, responded to the scene where they found an SUV that had skidded off the roadway and overturned.
Both occupants of the vehicle were ejected and found at a distance from each other, suffering from serious injuries.
Witnesses reported that the SUV was seen traveling at high speeds along Route 9 before losing control and crashing.
The incident is still under investigation, and further details will be released as they become available.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the crash to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
